1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Technomatters (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit www.technomatters.ae or contact us about our IT services. We handle personal data in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and other applicable UAE laws.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, company, phone/WhatsApp number, email address, the service you are interested in and any message you send through our contact form, newsletter form, email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Information collected automatically: basic technical data such as your browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location, through server logs and any analytics tools we use.
- Client service data: where we provide IT services, we may access systems and data belonging to your organisation. That access is governed by our service agreement with you, not by this website policy.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries, quotation requests and free IT health check bookings.
- To deliver, support and invoice the services you have requested.
- To send IT insights and updates where you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To keep our website secure, prevent misuse and improve our content.
- To meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
4. Legal basis
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, the need to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, the performance of a contract with you, and our legitimate business interests, or where required by law.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, for example:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which delivers website form submissions to our email inbox;
- WhatsApp/Meta, when you choose to contact us via WhatsApp;
- Google (for example Google Fonts and Google Maps), which may receive your IP address when pages load;
- email, hosting and IT providers we use to operate our services;
- technology vendors (for example Microsoft) where needed to deliver licences or services you have ordered;
- authorities, where required by UAE law.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UAE. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data stays protected as the PDPL requires.
6. Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed for it to work, plus any that third-party services such as Google Fonts, Google Maps or WhatsApp links may set. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
7. Data retention
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond and to follow up on any resulting business relationship, and client records for as long as required by UAE commercial and tax law. After that, the data is securely deleted or anonymised.
8. Security
As an IT and cybersecurity provider, we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access control, encryption where appropriate, and secure backup. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however.
9. Your rights
Subject to the PDPL, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data; to restrict or object to its processing; to withdraw consent; or to receive your data in a portable format. To make a request, email info@technomatters.ae. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Third-party links
Our website links to third-party sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X and Google Maps. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the “Last updated” date shown above.
